Advocates for African American Elders is committed to health education and health promotion for African American seniors. We work with communities and local agencies to support and develop promising programs and activities to increase the well-being and quality of life for seniors. We provide education and training opportunities for health and mental health promotion. We also advocate for resources and policies to improve the health and well-being of African American seniors throughout Los Angeles County.

 

Improving and maintaining good health requires efforts from all levels, including individuals, communities, systems and policies. In addition to good health practices, advocacy is needed to improve access to healthy foods and environments, quality care and resources. Advocates for African American Elders is dedicated to improving and supporting the health and well-being of our communities through education, training and advocacy.
